Daffodil Hill

Last Saturday, we went to Daffodil Hill in Volcano, CA. It is located close to where my aunt, uncle and cousins live in Jackson, we met them there. The trip took about one hour and 20 minutes.

We saw different types of daffodils. There was supposed to be over 300 varieties, but I only counted 22. Here are some of the varieties that we saw on our trip.

We went in March because it was the best time to view daffodils. Daffodils are bulbs, so they will sprout again each year.

We also saw some chickens, peacocks and different kinds of flying birds. After walking around the hills, we went to a large, grassy area and played some games with our cousins.

It sounds like you enjoyed the trip! What a nice way to end our bulb/botany learning at home.

I had no idea there were so many kinds of daffodils! I knew there were many different ones, but over 300, wow. Some day I hope I am able to go to daffodil hill with all of you.
